June 20, 2009 - New Rifle Bay Target Stand Rules
Effective immediately, no target stands are permitted that will place a target lower than three (3) feet from the ground. Be sure you have a sight/shooting line to the 200m back stop. Putting targets too close to the ground at 50m through 100m could result in ricochets.
Further to the above, if you bring a target stand to the range you are expected to take it with you when you leave. DO NOT leave your garbage for the directors to pick up for you. DO NOT take tables or any other MVMA equipment down range to use as a target stand. If you are caught doing so your membership will be revoked.
June 20, 2009 - New Garbage Bins
We now have two blue garbage bins on the range. PLEASE use them for all of your garbage! Do not use the old burn barrels, we are trying to empty them to remove them from the range. This includes targets, cups, paper, shot up target stands, etc. Failure to clean up after yourself may result in your membership being revoked.
June 20, 2009 - Pistol Bay Target Back Stops to be Removed
Most of the pistol shooters have seen the sad state of some of the target backstops in the pistol bays. In the very near future these will be removed and you then will have to bring your own target stands to place your targets on. You can build them out of 2x4's and use lath for the up rights to hold you targets on some card board.
Unfortunately we have had to take this measure due to the target backstops being shot up with shotguns and rifles against MVMA Membership Rules. If anyone has any information on who the person or person(s) are who did this, please contact an MVMA Board Member.

Effective immediately, all aerial targets including shotgun related targets are disallowed on the range. This decision has been confirmed and passed at the AGM on December 6, 2008. Patterning, paper targets and steel targets can be used by shotguns. Steel must be owner supplied, not MVMA supplied. Steel must be off the ground. Paper targets must be mounted on a stand.
