News - Noise Complaint
January 28, 2009 - Economic Impact Study
Dear MVMA members,
The Mountain View Marksman's Association needs your help! As you can see from the County Letter (Page 1 | Page 2) we have been told to comply with certain recommendations, some of which will be too costly for a community based non-profit society like ourselves to bear, or else face the possibility of having our DEVELOPMENT PERMIT revoked. Which means shutting down the range!
We intend to present information to the Mountain View County explaining our position and also demonstrating the value we bring to the community, value that I believe the County is currently overlooking. In order to validly and accurately prove our value, MVMA is having a professional economic impact report written - and for the data in that report to prove our point we need YOU to complete a survey.
The survey will be emailed to MVMA members for 2008 who have an email on record. The survey has only 4 questions, and should take no more than a minute of your time! But that minute could make the difference for our range, so please do the survey right away. No personal data will be kept on file.
We need everybody to respond within a week - FILL OUT THE SURVEY BY MIDNIGHT FRIDAY FEBRUARY 6. PLEASE DON'T DELAY!
If you did not receive an email inviting you to participate in the survey, please contact me at mvma.president@shaw.ca and I will send one out to you right away.
Let's Save Our Shooting Range!
Sincerely,
Joe Tucker, MVMA President 2009
